VMDS Input Analysis

After the Virginia Marine Debris Summit, CVW and CZM staff compiled the data collected from the VMDS including the “Action Boards,” “Think, Pair, Share” data,  and input from the breakout sessions. Ninety respondents during the “Think, Pair, Share” breakout sessions resulted in 487 written ideas. Responses were distilled into a 21-page summary covering six main themes that came from “Think, Pair, Share”- Economics, Capacity, Engagement, Policy, and Analysis, and Infrastructure. The six themes were proportionately used as a basis when examining the current VMDRP actions to determine which needed to be changed, eliminated, or continued to the next plan.
